About
The Glendalough Trail Run is a fantastic running experience with scenic, challenging routes for more experienced runners, but also, a fabulous day out in spectacular surroundings for those who choose to walk the course. Not only will it be a fun, enjoyable day but your participation will help to raise much needed funds for Fighting Blindness.
Fighting Blindness is a patient-led charity. Our mission is to cure blindness.
We promote and facilitate the development of treatments and cures for those affected by sight loss caused by retinal degenerative diseases.
Until our mission is accomplished, our counselling and support services continue to be available to people affected directly and indirectly by sight loss. We work in partnership with healthcare, science, industry and government to empower patients to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against blindness.
We are the leading Irish charity funding research into treatments for sight loss. To date, we have invested over €20 million in more than 115 research and clinical projects.

2023 will be the 12th running of this event. We have raised vital funds for our work through the Glendalough Trail Run event since 2006, making it a much-loved and crucial part of our community fundraising calendar.
We are grateful to all of our supporters over the years and are looking forward to the 2023 event!
